Bloomsburg Lacrosse Falls in PSAC Semi-Finals

Box Score

LOCK HAVEN--The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team saw its season come to an end on Tuesday with a 21-10 loss to Lock Haven University in the semi-finals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) playoffs. The Huskies end their season with a mark of 9-8 under first-year coach Leah Quigley.

The Lady Eagles jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the game before the Huskies got on the board with goals by Brittany Wilkins (Barto/Boyertown) at the 20 minute mark and Allison McFatridge (Hatboro/Upper Moreland) just 20 seconds later.

Following a Lock Haven goal to make it 7-2, the Huskies climbed back to within four goals when Kimberly Springman (Downingtown/Bishop Shanahan) scored with seven minutes left before halftime.

The Lady Eagles took an 11-4 lead a few minutes into the second half before the Huskies got back-to-back goals from Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) and Meg Taylor (West Chester/West Chester) to make it 11-6. But, that would be as close as Bloomsburg would get. Lock Haven scored six of the next seven goals to go in front 17-7 and were never threatened.

Toms scored three goals for the Huskies, while McFatridge got two. In goal, Bridget Maenner (Philaldelphia/Little Flower) 16 saves for Bloomsburg.
